Opera nights

Dine before the opera,
without leaving the Teatro Real.

Papagena is the restaurant on the sixth floor of the Teatro Real in Madrid. Your table and your seat, in the same building: a lift and a few minutes, nothing more.

Opera performance days: 20:00 to 00:00. Reservations until 23:15.

Your night, in three acts

The performance sets the tempo.
The table follows.

Before the performance

Overture

An early table and a brisk pace. Tell us which performance you are attending when you book and the kitchen sets the timing: you arrive, dine and head down to the stalls calmly, without watching the clock.

During the interval

Intermission

A precise service, timed to your performance interval: a full dinner during the break and back to the stalls, on time for the second act.

After the curtain

Final act

The favourite plan of those who visit us. When the curtain falls, a relaxed dinner with the Royal Palace floodlit beyond the window. On performance days, reservations until 23:15.

In the same building as your seat

No need to cross Madrid by taxi or work out the traffic on Gran Vía. From the dining room to the stalls there is a lift and a few minutes. When the call for the first act sounds, you go down. When the curtain falls, you come up. The whole night happens inside the Teatro Real in Madrid.

A service that knows the calendar

The floor team follows the Teatro Real programme and the timing of each performance. When you book, tell us which performance you are attending and when you want to dine: the kitchen adjusts the rhythm of the dishes so the evening flows, from the table to the curtain and from the curtain back to the table.

On opera days, the offering is rounded off with the Opera tasting menu, inspired by the season premiere, and with the views of the Royal Palace from the sixth floor as a backdrop.
